Based on the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, we provide a wide range of activities that encourage children to learn through play within a lively, stimulating environment.
Children enjoy a balanced day which includes story-time, singing, music times, art activities, messy play, small world play and dressing up. Outdoors, the children can play within a secure designated grassed area using a variety of outdoor play equipment and are encouraged to explore and take part in group and team games.
Children are involved in a variety of themes throughout the year and we organise visits from many organisations including the police, environmental health, the fire brigade and teeth specialists, encouraging children to learn about different areas of the community.
We encourage a healthy eating policy and support this by growing vegetables in our garden and baking with the children. We also aim to provide the recommended five fruit and vegetables a day within the children’s diet.
Free sessions are offered to 3 to 4 year olds (up to five sessions a week during term time) as part of the Nursery Education Grant, funded by the Government. We do all the necessary paperwork for you to take advantage of this.
